It's known for its exceptional functionality, allowing you to create scores in every tempo, every format, and for every instrument imaginable. Listen to the fruits of your labour in high quality thanks to 2 GB of virtual instruments by the renowned Garritan. Save your work in Finale format, MIDI, PDF, or audio (MP3, WAV, AIFF).
- For non-commercial organisations, there is also the Academic version.
- Educational institutions that order at least five licenses can request a Finale Site License and save some money.
Smooth importing and editing in Finale
As a Finale-user, you are in total control as to how you want to import notes into the program. Besides using a mouse and a keyboard, you can also use a MIDI keyboard to play your music note by note. You can also opt to import MIDI files or scan in documents which Finale will recognise. If you play a wind instrument, you can play your piece into the computer's built-in microphone and MicNotator will write the notes automatically! Once your music has been imported, you can easily edit your work.
New and improved features of Finale 2014
When compared to the 2012 version, we see some welcome changes in Finale 2014. For example, if you like to work in layers, (when there are more partitions on one bar), you can easily merge simultaneous rests for a clearer overview. The same goes for alterations and repetitions in the same measure. Creating parts in no particular key is easier than ever, and you have more control over linking and unlinking parts to the conductor partition.
