General
Creating perfect music scores is easier than ever using Presonus Notion 6. Many producers don't use music notation these days, as they tend to rely on virtual instruments. When you want the real deal, however, it's difficult to get away from needing sheet music. Creating it is normally a painstaking and time-consuming exercise, but with the many keyboard shortcuts in Notion 6, its now surprisingly quick and easy to do. In particular, it's the many articulations and symbols that take the most time, but Notion 6 has everything you need close at hand to produce beautiful, complete music scores. The scores you produce are not only suitable for sessions musicians but for large orchestras too. Making scores for each orchestra member and the conductor is equally as easy.
Virtual instruments and flexibility
Notion 6 includes a large collection of virtual instruments so that you can hear what your music sounds like as you're composing it. It even includes samples from the London Symphony Orchestra! New in version 6 is a harpsicord, a pipe organ and a choir. A great feature of this software is that you can work on your music anywhere using a Windows tablet or an iPad, for instance. It's even possible to import and export your project to rival software like Finale and Sibelius.
New functions
A countless number of features have been added and improved in PreSonus Notion 6. MyScript makes it possible to produce music scores in your own handwriting. Full integration with Presonus Studio One is another fantastic possibility. If you're a linguist as well as a composer, you can now use the software in Italian, Korean and simple Chinese too!
