It'll come as no surprise to learn that Justin Meldal-Johnsen's agenda is pretty full. As well as producing and writing songs, (Macy Gray, Paramore) he can also be found playing bass on stage with Beck. That's why Fender decided it was high time to team up and develop his very own signature bass!
Don't Let It GoJustin's original 1967 Mustang Bass has a very special place in his personal bass guitar collection, so he and Fender decided to use this short-scale bass as the foundation for the new model. In order to provide this instrument with an authentic appearance, they gave it a faded Daphne Blue finish and a Road Worn treatment. To top it all off, it features custom-designed split-coil Seymour Duncans. If you play bass and have a passion for a short-scale, offset model, grab this Mustang and we're pretty sure you won't ever want to let it go!
