Important - Fender Mustang GT Firmware Update
Are you the proud owner of a Fender Mustang GT guitar amplifier? If so, you'll need to do a firmware update before 29th October to prevent losing the wireless functionality.
Firmware update
Back in August, Fender announced that a bug had been discovered in the Mustang GT guitar amplifier's firmware. The bug can prevent the amp's WiFi functionality from working which is why they've released a firmware update. You should update your amplifier's firmware to version 1.3.5 or higher before 29th October.
Too late?
If you miss the 29th October deadline, you'll need to include an extra step before you can do the firmware update. First, you'll need to download software via this link.
You'll need to install this software using a standard USB to mini USB cable as WiFi won't work anymore.
Please note: this software will only ensure that your GT works with WiFi. Your amplifier will not yet be updated with the latest firmware!
We recommend keeping your guitar amplifier's firmware up to date. That way you can take advantage of any new features which, in the latest version, includes extra effects and EQ settings as well as improved Bluetooth connectivity.
