New: The Sequential Take 5
Sequential have done it again so take a moment to take in their latest synthesizer: the Take 5 - a solid chunk of hardware made for creative minds who aren't rolling in money.
The Take 5: No Longer Just a Rumour
Earlier this year, rumour quickly spread after Sequential registered the Take 5 name. Since the brand is part of the synth-building elite, any fresh Sequential invention conceived by the legendary Dave Smith is naturally newsworthy. After all, Smith's the one who changed the music world forever when he came up with the MIDI protocol back in the '80s. While Sequential-made synths are usually a little higher-priced, the Take 5 comes at a more thoughtful price.
The Affordable Alternative
Right now, the Take 5 is Sequential's most affordable synthesizer, but that doesn't mean you're looking at a basic bit of kit here. On the contrary, the Take 5 is a fully-fledged synth loaded with highly potent analogue oscillators and filters. It also boasts the same 5-voice polyphony as the Prophet 5, which was recently released at thrice the price so go figure. This stage-ready synth is nicely compact and conveniently portable and, in case you're interested, you can also pick up your own Take 5 along with a matching bag from Analog Cases.
What else is there to say? Sequential represents high-quality gear and the Take 5 is simply no exception. We expect it'll sell like hot-cakes too so we've ordered a big stack to make sure none of you end up empty-handed!
