Roland Presents the R07 Field Recorder
For years now, we've only had one Roland product in our field recorders category, the R88. This was not a portable device, as such, but more a recorder to take with you to meetings. Roland has since launched the compact, portable R07 in black, red and white, which is sure to be a competitive player in this market!
Roland R07: compact and full of possibilities
With the R07, Roland has decided to dominate the field recorder market. It's equipped with all the features you've come to expect from a modern-day top-of-the-notch field recorder. For starters, it can create two recordings at once, one of which is slightly more quiet than the other so you'll always have a softer backup in case clipping occurs. For music, it has a tuner, a metronome, a reverb and adjustable playback speed.
High quality and user-friendly
Naturally, the R07 also boasts the excellent recording quality Roland is known for - 24 bit, 96 kHz WAV and 320 kbps MP3. The device has two built-in microphones, as well as the option to connect an external mic as well (via the mic/aux input). It has a speaker as well as a mini jack output, but best of all, the R07 has Bluetooth! That means you can stream audio directly to your Bluetooth headphones or speaker, or operate it with your smartphone or smartwatch.
In short, this device is ideal for journalists, reporters, sound designers and foley editors, to name but a few!
