TC Electronic's Iron Curtain Noise Gate simply and effectively filters out any undesirable noise in your signal chain. It's equipped with two knobs that give you complete control. With the Threshold potentiometer you can adjust the sensitivity of the noise gate and with the Decay knob you can determine how long the noise gate dampens the signal for. The pedal is true bypass which means that it won't affect your signal at all when it's not activated.

Heerlijke no-nonsense noise gate! Makkelijk in te stellen en doet wat het moet doen. Zorg er wel voor dat je het pedaal goed geplaatst in je pedalen reeks; na je overdrive, distorion en/of fuzz en voor je reverb, delay en/of modulatie pedalen :)

Maar dat zijn alle stompboxjes uit deze reeks van TC..effe puur hypothetisch: Als je hele board uit effecten van deze reeks zou bestaan, heb je echt een mega-strak ogende pedalentrein. "hij is nogal aan de grote kant jongens.. nou, dan plaatsen we toch gewoon alle aansluitingen aan de bovenkant." persoonlijk vind ik het een briljante oplossing van TC.
Het zijn allemaal no-nonsense, heerlijk ongecompliceerde "One-trick-pony's" die dat wat ze moeten doen, ook gewoon doen. Zo dus ook deze noise-gate (die waarschijnlijk nog het best zal werken in combinatie met andere pedaaltjes van TC) En voor die prijs kun je nog wel eens een gokje wagen.
Het schijnt dat Behringer de firma TC electronics heeft gekocht en deze uiterst betaalbare lijn hier het eerste resultaat van is. Hoe dan ook: prima apparaatjes voor weinig!

En zeer robuust gebouwde noisegate die ik eigenlijk te groot vind op mijn pedalboard voor wat hij moet doen en dat doet hij wat mij betreft net niet goed genoeg . Als ik mijn humbuckers flink overstuur is de noisegate krachtig genoeg maar met oversturing en single coils komt de hum er toch doorheen tot mijn verbazing. Ik wilde ook de ruis van mijn Emma Electronics eruit hebben. Dat doet deze pedaal goed maar op standje single coil komt de brom er gek genoeg toch doorheen. Maar in cleane stand met single-coil werkt hij prima.
