SKB Removable Shock Rack 14U shock-resistant carrying case

General

The SKB Removable Shock Rack 14U is a complete 19-inch rack transport case designed for the safe transport of large quantities of and/or fragile rack-mounted equipment. The case is lightweight for its class, but is primarily built to keep impacts, vibrations, moisture and dust at bay. Thanks to the integrated shock suspension, your electronics remain better protected during loading, unloading and transport. The case is also resistant to heat and chemicals. In short: a reliable choice for touring, hire and mobile installations where you need to be able to rely on your set-up.

Removable rack with “positive lock”

Inside, you’ll find a removable rack frame with a patent-pending ‘positive lock’ mechanism. The rack slides open like a drawer, giving you quick access to everything for patching, servicing or reconfiguration, without having to remove your equipment from the case. The entire frame is also fully removable, which is handy for bench integration or maintenance. The 3RR 20” racks are 20 inches deep from rail to rail and have a standard 19-inch rack width in accordance with EIA/ECA-310-E. The square-hole rack rails are compatible with both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts.

Road-proof features and stackable design

The rotomoulded LMDP outer shell meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810H and offers high impact resistance. 2-inch-deep flanges are fitted at the front and rear, allowing rack gear longer than 20 inches to fit. The recessed, black powder-coated stainless steel hardware is well protected, and the four spring-loaded comfort-grip handles make it easy to move the case. It also features gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers and an automatic pressure relief valve. The case is stackable with SKB 3RR/3RS (and similar) cases; wheels are not included as standard.
