SKB Removable Shock Rack 5U shock-resistant rack case

General

The SKB Removable Shock Rack 5U is a complete transport case for 19-inch rack-mounted equipment, designed to safely transport sensitive electronics. Thanks to the integrated shock-absorption system, shocks and vibrations during transport are significantly reduced, making it ideal for touring, hire and mobile installation work. The rotomoulded casing is also water- and dust-tight and can withstand heat and chemicals. With 5U of rack space, you have a compact yet robust solution for equipment such as processors, wireless receivers, amplifiers or recording gear.

Extendable rack with “positive lock”

The major advantage of the 3RR series is the removable rack frame with a patent-pending “positive lock” locking system. You slide the rack open like a drawer, giving you full access to the front of your equipment without having to dismantle it. If you need to integrate everything onto a workbench or carry out servicing, the entire internal rack is also fully removable. The case is built to the 19-inch EIA/ECA-310-E standard and features square-hole rack rails for both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts.

Tour-ready features and stackable design

The LMDP (Linear Medium Density Polyethylene) outer shell meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810H and offers high impact resistance. The front and rear lids are 2 inches deep, which is useful if your equipment is slightly longer than the 20-inch rail depth. It also features recessed, black powder-coated stainless steel hardware, four spring-loaded comfort-grip handles, an automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers. Stackable with SKB 3RR and 3RS (and similar) cases. Wheels are not included as standard.
