The SKB Static Shock Rack 11U is a complete 19-inch shock-mounted rack transport case designed for the safe transport of sensitive rack-mounted equipment. The floating internal structure reduces shocks and vibrations during transport, ensuring your valuable electronics remain better protected whether in a lorry, trailer or on a flight. You’re also well covered when it comes to environmental conditions: the case is water- and dust-tight, as well as resistant to heat and chemicals. With 11U of rack space, this is an excellent solution for larger rack systems in touring, hire and fixed installations.

Internal rack construction with 20-inch rack depth

The internal rack chassis consists of strong, lightweight aluminium alloy extrusions with 11-gauge hot-rolled carbon steel rack rails, in accordance with EIA-310. The rack width is 19 inches as standard in accordance with EIA/ECA-310-E, and the rail-to-rail depth is 19.75 inches (approximately 20 inches). The square-hole rack rails allow you to use both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts; these are supplied. Eight elastomer isolators provide damping and also allow sufficient ‘sway’ for air circulation and heat dissipation.

Rotomoulded SKB protection, stackable design

The exterior is made from rotomoulded LMDP (linear medium-density polyethylene) and meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810H, with high impact resistance. The case features 2-inch-deep front and rear lids, meaning that equipment longer than 20 inches will often still fit. It also features recessed black powder-coated stainless steel fittings, four spring-loaded comfort-grip handles, an automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers. It can be stacked with SKB 3RR and 3RS cases (and similar models). Wheels are not fitted as standard; for this, options include the SKB 3RR-RCB caster platform.
