The SKB 3RS Series Static Shock Rack 3U is designed to safely transport sensitive electronic equipment in a 19-inch rack format. This shock-resistant rack transport case is lightweight, yet shock-resistant, waterproof, dustproof and resistant to heat and chemicals. Thanks to its floating internal structure, your equipment remains better protected against vibrations and impacts during transport. With a 3U rack height and a depth of approximately 20 inches (rail-to-rail), it is a practical choice for processors, wireless systems, network or measurement equipment that needs to continue operating reliably whilst on the move.

Floating rack frame with genuine shock isolation

The inner rack chassis is constructed from strong, lightweight aluminium alloy extrusions and 11-gauge hot-rolled carbon steel rack rails in accordance with EIA-310. Shocks and vibrations are absorbed by eight elastomeric isolators, rated as standard for a payload of 40 to 150 lb. The design also allows sufficient ‘sway’ for air circulation and heat dissipation, ensuring your equipment is not unnecessarily confined. The square-hole rails are compatible with both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts, which are included.

Roto-moulded case, stackable and ready for the road

The exterior is a rugged rotomoulded shell made from LMDP (Linear Medium Density Polyethylene) and complies with MIL-STD 810H. The case features 2-inch-deep front and rear lids, which are handy for racks that are just over 20 inches long. You also get four comfort-grip, spring-loaded lift handles, an automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers. Stacking ribs and lugs allow stacking with SKB 3RR/3RS (and similar) cases; coupling straps are included. Wheels are not fitted as standard.
