The SKB Static Shock Rack 4U is a professional transport case designed for the safe transport of delicate 19-inch rack equipment. Thanks to its internal shock-mount construction, shocks and vibrations are effectively dampened, ensuring that processors, amplifiers, wireless systems or recorders remain better protected whilst on the move. The case is lightweight yet extremely strong, and is also water- and dust-proof. The rack rails comply with the EIA-310 standard, and the case is built to withstand intensive touring and hire use.

Shockmount construction for sensitive equipment

Inside, you’ll find a sturdy yet lightweight rack chassis made from aluminium profiles with 11-gauge steel rack rails (EIA-310). Damping is provided by eight elastomer isolators, designed for a standard payload of 40 to 150 lb (expandable to 160 to 300 lb as a special SKB option). The 19-inch rack width is standard and the rack depth is 20 inches (rail-to-rail). The 2-inch-deep front and rear covers provide extra space for equipment longer than 20 inches.

Built for transport (without wheels)

The exterior is made from rotomoulded LMDP polyethylene and complies with MIL-STD 810H (or better), offering high impact resistance as well as resistance to heat and chemicals. You get four recessed, spring-loaded handles for comfortable lifting, an automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids. Handy feature: lid hangers to neatly hang the lids away whilst in use. These 3RS shock racks are supplied without wheels as standard; if you want to roll them, look for a compatible caster platform such as the SKB 3RR-RCB.
