The SKB Static Shock Rack 9U is a complete shock-mount rack transport case for the safe transport of sensitive 19-inch rack-mounted equipment. Thanks to its floating internal structure, shocks and vibrations during transport are significantly reduced, ensuring that your processors, receivers, recorders or amplifiers remain better protected. The case is designed for intensive use and is not only shock-resistant but also water- and dust-proof. Furthermore, the case is resistant to heat and chemicals, making it a reliable choice for touring, hire and fixed installations.

Internal rack construction to EIA standards

Inside is a strong yet lightweight rack chassis made from aluminium alloy extrusions, fitted with 11-gauge hot-rolled carbon steel rack rails that comply with the EIA-310 standard. The 3RS series has a standard 19-inch rack width (EIA/ECA-310-E) and a rail-to-rail depth of 20 inches. The square-hole rack rails are compatible with both #10-32 (US) and 6 mm (international) cage nuts; these are supplied as standard. Vibration damping is provided by eight elastomeric isolators, rated as standard for a payload of 40 to 150 lb.

Tour-ready case, stackable and expandable

The rotomoulded LMDP outer shell meets or exceeds MIL-STD 810H and offers high impact resistance. At the front and rear, you’ll find 2-inch-deep covers, which are handy when your rack equipment is slightly longer than the 20-inch rail depth. The case features recessed, black powder-coated stainless steel hardware, four spring-loaded comfort-grip handles, an automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers. It can be stacked with SKB 3RR and 3RS cases (and similar models). Wheels are not included as standard; alternatively, the SKB 3RR-RCB caster platform is available.
