The Cameleon Flood 7RGB can be used as a stand-alone device or controlled via a DMX lighting controller. Additionally, a optional Showtec Cameleon infra-red remote control is available, which enables you to control the colour mixing and dimmer functions. The Cameleon Flood 7RGB comes in an aluminium housing, so there is hardly any maintenance required. It is equipped with convection cooling, so there is no need for noisy fans. The integrated bracket allows you to mount or suspend the floodlight, or to install it in an upright position. The Flood 7RGB has an IP65 rating (dust and water-resistant), which means you can also enjoy its lighting outdoors.

Wrote the following about Showtec Cameleon Flood 7RGB Multicolour LED Floodlight

Deze lamp moet onderdeel uit gaan maken van mijn kerst tuinverlichting. Het is een mooi klein lampjes met een behoorlijke lichtopbrengst. Mooie kleuren en ziet er robuust uit.

Wat ik als minpunt heb ervaren is dat er in de beschrijving op de website eigenlijk niet gesproken wordt over het de noodzaak van de afstandsbediening. Als je deze niet mee besteld dan is de lamp alleen maar te gebruiken op DMX-adres 001--003. Voor een simpele toepassing is dat geen probleem. In mij geval heb in een lichtopstelling met een 40-tal lampen waarbij de eerste 30 DMX-adressen niet veranderd kunnen worden. Dus is een afstandsbediening noodzakelijk. Normaal zou dat geen probleem zijn met de snelle service van BaxShop maar helaas is de levertijd van deze afstandsbediening 3 tot 4 weken. Ik had deze informatie toch graag vooruit willen weten zodat ik misschien wel een andere keuze had gemaakt.

Deze floods hangen in een museum en ik heb ze heb ingesteld. Zien er mooi en klein uit, alleen de bediening met de afstandsbediening is een drama. Het instellen zelf is goed uitgelegd in de handleiding, alleen is het in praktijk doen ontzettend onhandig. Je moet heel kort met de afstandsbediening op de lamp zitten en je moet onwijs veel geduld hebben. Het is een hoop geklooi en de lamp instellen (adres enzo) is erg onduidelijk na mijn mening. Je hebt namelijk geen display en ook geen dip switches, alleen een beetje geknipper van de lamp zou aan moeten geven welk adres hij zit.

Ook vind ik de connectors om ze aan elkaar door te lussen erg goedkoop en vervelend draaien. De voeding hetzelfde, aangezien ze dezelfde irritante connectoren daarvoor gebruiken. Gaan heel stroef en voelen ontzettend goedkoop aan.

Min punten:
-Bedienen en instellen met afstandsbediening is een compleet drama
-Geen display of dip switches
-Connectors voelen goedkoop aan, erg stroef
-Moet heel dicht met de afstandsbediening op de lamp zitten om hem te kunnen instellen

Reden om hem niet te kopen: de afstandsbediening.

Reden om hem wel te kopen: Klein mooi lampje, mooi voor een standaard installatie
