General
The Artis 10 is a powerful passive speaker that is equipped with a 10-inch woofer and a 1-inch high-frequency driver. The speaker is suited for many applications and can be used for both fixed and mobile installations. The Artis 10 is ideal as a satellite speaker for a PA system with subwoofers, but it also offers full-range performance. Provided that it is backed up by a strong enough amplifier, the Artis 10 can easily provide a small or medium venue with background music.
The Artis 10: Components
The Artis 10 is equipped with a 10-inch woofer and a 1-inch high-frequency driver. Due to the 10-inch woofer, the speaker delivers its best performance within the mid-frequency range, making it ideal for speech and vocals. Anything you find lacking in the low-frequency department can be made up for by an additional subwoofer, though the bass reflex port at the front of the speaker does provide an extra punch in the mid-low and low frequencies.
Construction
The Artis 10 comes in a lightweight, synthetic housing that doesn't break easily. The curved design gives it a clean look,while a grill protects the woofer during transport. You can easily carry the speaker via the handle on the side, and the Artis 10 is even fitted with a built-in stand flange, allowing you to mount it on a 35mm speaker stand with ease before it's secured via a locking screw in order to prevent resonance.
