When using a Brazilian surdo in samba or Batucada music, a well-tuned skin is very important to it. The Sparedrum Powerkick Smooth White Surdo was therefore specially developed: it is a single-ply, white-coated sheet that serves as both a percussion and resonance sheet. The result is a full sound with sufficient attack and limited overtones. The sheet has a diameter of 22 inches.
