Is it a rattle or a maraca? Actually, it's neither. It's the NINO557 wood ball stirring drum! This unique instrument consists of tuned wooden tongues that together create a scale, as well as a wooden ball that's attached to a nylon string. All of this is connected to an ergonomic handle that makes it very easy to play. By rotating the NINO 557, you allow the ball to strike the various tongues, resulting in a sound that's reminiscent of a xylophone. In short, it's a fun percussion instrument that's suited for kids ages 4 and up.
