While perhaps you wouldn't tell by the look of them, these little green blocks are real musical instruments by Nino Percussion (part of Meinl). With the green Nino Percussion NINO940GR Sand Blocks, you can create two different sounds. By rubbing the blocks together, you can create a sound that's reminiscent of a shaker, and by knocking them against each other, you create a clave-like sound. They're as much fun as they are educational, and make for a great gift to your young ones, helping them get an early start to their musical careers.
