Want to play a heavy riff without having to retune your guitar first? The Klowra Dive Pitch Shifter is here to help. This digital effects pedal combines polyphonic pitch shifting with two adjustable drop-tune presets, allowing you to switch quickly between different pitches. The range extends down to three octaves, whilst the tracking algorithm, with a latency of 8 milliseconds, preserves the tone and dynamics of your instrument. You can choose between two algorithms: ‘Tight’ for a clear, natural sound with definition, or ‘Sub’ for a deep, synth-like sub-bass. This allows you to give both tight riffs and broad chords a different register, without having to change guitars during your performance.

Expressive pitch bends without an expression pedal

You don’t need to add a separate expression pedal to your pedalboard for smooth pitch movements. With the built-in Glide function, you can set the attack time; you can also adjust the release time using the GLIDE RLS knob. This allows you to create gradual transitions or launch into a divebomb with conviction, even on a guitar with a fixed bridge. The L, A/B and M modes determine the switching logic, offering both latching and momentary operation. Need more control? Connect an external momentary TS footswitch to the 3.5 mm CTRL input. Use MIX to blend the dry and processed signals; in Uni mode, the 12 o’clock position produces a chorus-like detune effect.

Compact size, extensive capabilities

Under the bonnet, too, this compact Dive has plenty to offer. Klowra’s WildSeed Engine combines 32-bit floating-point DSP with 24-bit AD/DA conversion for clear signal processing with plenty of headroom. You can choose between true bypass and buffered bypass, depending on the layout of your pedalboard. The soft-touch relay circuitry ensures silent switching, and every unit is hand-tested. You can update the firmware via USB-C to access algorithm updates and new features. The hand-drawn artwork reflects the Asian mythological inspiration of the Budding Bloom series. The pedal requires a 9V DC power supply to operate; the current draw is 150 mA.
