Carved from bone, this standard-shaped Dugain plectrum is made for heavy, bluesy playing styles and features the improved grip and control of a thumb and forefinger dimple. Designed by the inimitable Jean Charles Dugain, this pick pulls a rawer sound out of the strings when compared to the Horn edition, and is especially effective when teamed up with a clean Strat.

Plectrum is van zeer goede kwaliteit en zal zeker een tijdje meegaan. Door inhammen voelt hij heel lekker in de hand. Het enige probleem voor mij persoonlijk is dat hij iets te dik is. Voor de rest een prima plectrum.

Het voelt, door de inkepingen voor de vingers, goed in de hand: de kans dat je hem uit je vingers laat glijden is heel klein vanwege de dikte en de 'hándeling'. Het is even wennen maar na honderden aanslagen gaan lopen je ritmes uiteindelijk wel. Ik gebruik hem op mijn akoestische gitaar en het voelt wat beter aan dan de duimplectrum (die ik gebruik voor slaggitaar en zelfs loopjes) want je kan wat dieper spelen met de Dugain plectrum. Ik dacht - vanwege de dikte van de plectrum - dat het een basgitaar plectrum was en dat ik iets verkeerd bestelt had, maar na uitvoerig testen bleek het toch van hele goede kwaliteit. Het 'been' materiaal waarvan het gemaakt is geeft inderdaad een unieke sound. Ik denk dat de houten variant van de Dugain plectrum wat minder fel/helder - over de snaren - klinkt. Maar ik heb voorlopig genoeg aan deze ene Dugain.
