Avalon's grey V5 DI instrument and mic preamp is a musical jack-of-all-trades. This compact, versatile device was modelled after the renowned Avalon U5, but adds a number of delectable extras. The high-gain class-A microphone preamplifier with dual impedance lends itself perfectly for use with various microphones, ranging from dynamic models to ribbon and high-level condenser mics. Additionally, the V5 is well-capable of handling instruments like guitars, keyboards and synthesizers.

V5: Reamping and Tone Control

With the Avalon V5, you'll be able to reach new creative levels. Its reamping function, which allows you to re-edit your unprocessed recordings, ensures outstanding results time and time again. As you have total control over your signal path, combining the right effects and parameters is easy - just try out different settings until you get the exact results you need. Passive tone control offers you a choice of ten presets, six of which are derived from the unparalleled Avalon U5. The V5 DI instrument and mic preamp allows for intuitive control, while an analogue VU meter provides you with a clear overview.
