Travel back to the '70s with the Heritage Audio HA 73 Elite! This microphone preamplifier is based on the legendary Neve 1073 and happily provides your digital recordings with a much-needed dose of analogue warmth. While the HA 73 Elite is first and foremost a mic preamp, there's also a Hi-Z input to be found round the back. This secret weapon for bassists lets you turn up the gain to right before the breaking point as you tone down the output to make sure the converters don't go into overdrive. The result is a fat, forceful sound with plenty of attitude and, since there's also a line input on-board, you can apply the same trick to previous recordings in need of a little salt and pepper to bring out the flavour.
