General

As you can tell by its extensive palette of possibilities and compact form-factor, the PSS-A50 is direct descendent of the Yamaha Reface Series. It's fitted with 37 touch-sensitive keys and a built-in arpeggiator with 138 types and Hold-function. In addition, this bite-size keyboard boasts a phrase recording option so you can play, loop and record to your heart's content. Combine your sounds and create a 4-layer track while on the road or in the comfort of your home studio. Wherever you are, the PSS-A50 runs on batteries (not included) and can be easily connected via USB/MIDI.

Yamaha PSS-A50: Built-In Amplifier and Speaker

Yamaha has managed to find a little spare room to fit an internal amp and speaker that allow you to monitor yourself. Alternatively, you can use the headphone mini-jack that doubles as a line output. By default, the PSS-A50 gives you 42 different sounds, including two drum kits, and comes with metronome, transpose and octave-change functions.
