The Mystic Red Fender American Standard Stratocaster HSS is a genuine Stratocaster. The American Standard series is the place to look for those who'll only play a real Strat. Its tight, clear sound is shaped by a maple body and fretboard and bestowed with Fender character by three pickups: a Diamondhead Humbucker and two Custom Shop Fat '50s Strat single coils. You can combine these pickups at will with the 5-position pickup switch and balance their sound with the volume controls. The 22 jumbo frets make bending the strings easier, benefiting the guitar's playability.

Guitars and bass guitars from the American Standard series

The professional American Standard series comprises the most recent, US-built versions of Fender's four most famous guitars: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. They all feature a quality ash or alder body, an average-gauge C-profile maple neck and a relatively flat maple or rosewood fretboard, as well as a reliable, sustain-enhancing bridge and (often) Custom Shop pickups for the classic Fender sound.
