Fender Special Edition Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood Stratocaster

Fender's Special Edition series has sprouted a new model: the gorgeous Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood Stratocaster. It is a luxury guitar with several unique features. For one, its body is made of a single piece of seqoia (redwood) that comes from the remains of a 1933 bridge. The result is a marvellous grain and a highly resonant tone. The Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood Strat was limited to just 100 pieces world wide and we stock three of them!

Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood Stratocaster: neck and finish

The neck of this luxurious Strat is made of maple and features Fender's special Channel Bound fretboard. This fretboard isn't on the neck, it's in it, creating beautiful maple bindings. The fretboard was given a compound radius of 9.5 to 14 inches, allowing for more comfortable chords at lower positions and effortless bends higher up the neck. The neck and body both feature a hand-rubbed oil finish. The laser-etched Fender logo on the headstock is the cherry on top.

Electronics and hardware

The Fender Special Edition Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood Stratocaster is equipped with a versatile HSS pickup configuration. There's a Fender Diamondback humbucker in the bridge position for the rough stuff, and two American Vintage Grey Bottom single-coil pickups for twangy cleans. Additionally, this guitar features a smooth yet stable 2-point tremolo, Deluxe staggered machine heads and a brown anodised pickguard and back cover.
