The M-Audio Pulsar II is a set of pencil condenser microphones. These small-diaphragm stereo microphones are ideal for making neutral recordings of acoustic instruments, such as guitar, piano, strings, choirs, woodwind or brass instruments. The Pulsar II can also be used for overhead applications in combination with a drum kit or percussion instruments. The pencil condenser microphones are powered by 48 volts of phantom power and can be connected by means of regular XLR cables.
Pulsar II stereo microphone: a matched pair
The M-Audio Pulsar II set consists of a matched pair of microphones, which means a well-balanced stereo performance. The rugged brass bodies of the microphones are equipped with internal shockmounts, so floor vibrations are strongly reduced. The microphones have a wide frequency range, running from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and are fitted with a 10 dB and 80 Hz switch. The Pulsar II microphones are supplied including windscreens, holders and a wooden case.
