The wish to make a good recording on the spot is becoming more and more common. There are many portable recorders already available and more and more recording accessories for for iPod, iPad and iPhone are being developed as well. The Rode smartLav is a lavalier microphone suited for these Apple iOS devices. The microphone comes with a clip mount and a pop shield and is very useful for interviews or dictation.

smartLav: omnidirectional
The smartLav is a professional omnidirectional lavalier microphone. This means it is not direction-sensitive and records everything in its vicinity perfectly. Simply connect this lavalier mic to the headphone connector of your iOS device with the 3.5 mm TRRS connector. The smartLav can also be connected to other devices that support TRRS connectors.

Gaaf dingetje. Goed geluid. Let wel op je de juiste instellingen in de Røde Rec app. Je moet daar uitzetten dat je IOS gebruikt, anders krijg je geen vol geluid zoals je dat verwacht. Ik ga hem gebruiken in combinatie met mijn foto(film)toestel, en sync later beeld en geluid automatisch in FCPX.
