The Roland TMC-6 trigger-to-MIDI converter is a simple yet very practical module. It converts the signal of your electronic drum pads and drum triggers into a MIDI signal. As such, it enables you to control an external MIDI device or software, such as Toontrack EZdrummer. It is a great addition to your digital drum kit if you current drum module does not have enough available connectors. You can also use the TMC-6 to add electronic sounds to your acoustic drum kit, however.
Options of the TMC-6
The Roland TMC6 offers room for six triggers, including a special snare and hi-hat trigger (FD-8 hi-hat control pedal). The inputs are compatible with all of Roland's pads and triggers. If you are using mesh head pads, the reliable V-Drums technology will even recognise the difference between a head and a rimshot. The TMC6 supports three-way triggering for the CY-15R and CY-12R/C V-Cymbals as well. The 12 user memories enable you to store your settings.
