The Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster with Bigsby has a wicked sound and cool looks. You could almost call it a Telecaster on steroids, perhaps even criminally good, which wouldn't be entirely inappropriate, as 'Cabronita' means 'little villain. This black Cabronita Telecaster was modelled after the Fender version. It has the same cool looks as the original but with a more moderate price tag. Distinctive features for this model are its Bigsby vibrato, the Fideli'Tron humbucker in combination with a single-coil pickup, its volume and 3-way pickup switch and the alternatively shaped pickguard.
Squier Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster with Bigsby: basswood body
This Cabronita hides a traditionally shaped basswood Telecaster body underneath its high-gloss black polyurethane lacquer. Basswood is a type of wood that provides a pleasantly warm tone and excellent mids. The neck of this guitar is made of maple and is equipped with a modern 9.5-inch radius and 22 medium jumbo frets. The result is an easily playable Telecaster that allows you to press strings along the entire neck without loss of notes.
A versatile Telecaster
The Fideli'Tron humbucker and standard Single-Coil Tele pickups provide this Squier Cabronita with a deliciously full sound with a starring role for that distinctive Telecaster sparkle. The bridge pickup produces a bright and fierce sound that cuts through any mix, ideal for a wide range of music styles from country to punk and even hard rock. The neck pickup balances this by producing a delightfully warm sound that is perfectly suited for jazzy chords and bluesy licks. The Bigsby B50 tailpiece with tremolo arm allows you to create subtle surf-music-style vibratos.
