Just like the US-122 MKII, this Tascam US 144 MKII is a successor of the popular Tascam US-122. The US-144 MKII offers slightly more extensive functionality than the US-122 MKII, however, and comes with an accessory copy of Cubase LE software.
Just like its predecessors, this USB audio MIDI interface offers you everything you need from a portable interface. As the US-144 MKII requires no external power supply, you can use the interface wherever and whenever you like.
The US144 MKII can be used as an on-board sound card for your computer, enabling you to play back music and video files with a much better audio quality. The XLR microphone inputs with adjustable phantom power and the high-grade preamps of the interface are responsible for the excellent sound of its recordings. The Tascam US-144 MKII allows you to monitor via headphones at zero latency, and supports a sample rate of up to 96 kHz at a 24-bit resolution - in other words, twice as much as CD quality.
