The Pinnacle Microphones Fat Top is a compact, passive ribbon microphone renowned for its warm, rounded sound with a natural high-frequency roll-off. Ideal if you want to avoid a sharp or brittle high end without the need for additional EQ. Thanks to its symmetrical figure-8 polar pattern, you can effectively isolate sources using the deep side nulls. This stereo pair is also perfect for Blumlein set-ups to capture space and ambience realistically, for example with guitar cabinets, piano, brass and percussion.
