General
The Pinnacle Microphones Fat Top II Active/Passive is a short ribbon microphone with a warm, full and rounded sound. Thanks to its symmetrical figure-8 polar pattern, it picks up sound from both the front and rear, with a deep side-rejection for extra isolation. Using the Active/Passive switch, you can choose between passive operation or active mode with phantom power, which provides up to 20 dB of extra gain. Ideal for guitar amps, piano, brass instruments and percussion, and also excellent as a Blumlein pair.
