General
The Pinnacle Microphones Fat Top II is a passive short-ribbon microphone renowned for its soft, warm and rounded sound. Because the high frequencies naturally roll off slightly, sound sources sound less harsh without you having to resort to EQ straight away. The balanced figure-8 polar pattern picks up sound from the front and rear, with a deep side-lobe rejection for extra isolation. Ideal for guitar amps, piano, brass instruments and drums, and also perfect as a stereo pair in a Blumlein setup.
