The 20-inch Masterwork Iris Heavy Ride features a raw rough cup, an inner rim with traditional finish and outer rim with brilliant finish. These different finishes ensure that you can play this ride very dynamically and also get many sounds out of it. For example, you get clear stick definition from the brilliant outer rim, but more body and sound from the traditionally finished inner rim. The cup is rough and raw, giving you a very complex bell sound.

Masterwork Iris Ride Heavy 20-inch

Handmade and hammered in Istanbul, this Masterwork Heavy ride is made from a B25 bronze alloy, making this a true professional-quality cymbal. The biggest difference between this Heavy ride and the regular Iris ride, is that this one has a slightly darker sound. So you get a bit more texture and a longer sustain. The pitch is a bit lower which makes it perfect for genres like pop, rock, metal or certain electronic music.
