André Dédé Ceccarelli, the iconic French jazz drummer, made the Blue Bird Sweet Ride in collaboration with Paiste years ago. After being out of production for a while, there is now a new Blue Bird ride and it is the Blue Bird Mellow Ride.

The cymbal has a diameter of 20 inches and a medium weight. The stick definition is subtle and the volume range is relatively wide. The Blue Bird Mellow Ride can be used both as a ride and as a crash. The sustain is relatively long. Due to Ceccarelli's background, the cymbal is particularly suitable for jazz music, but can also be used in other styles. A bright cup sound with a nice 'ping' and a warm-sounding cymbal top with a nice, rich-sounding 'wash' layer ensure that this cymbal has its place in every cymbal bag. Paiste's cymbals are handmade and hammered in Switzerland.
