This Medium Ride cymbal is part of the AAX series and - as the name suggests - has a medium weight. This gives the cymbal a balanced sound, which has gained character through special treatments and innovative technology in the manufacturing process. Sabian has used hammers with a larger hitting surface, which have left clear imprints on the blade. As a result, the sound is complex and the generally balanced sound has some darker accents. Due to an "Autofocus response" treatment, the frequencies of this cymbal are perfectly balanced, whether you play hard or soft. This gives lots of dynamic possibilities and also ensures that the different timbres don't start to sound like one big chaos.

The raw bell has a fine `pling´, with a raw edge. The versatility of this cymbal also makes it good for multiple genres. A combination of the subtle tones with simple rhythms and a fine crash makes this all-round cymbal a real winner. Made of B20 bronze alloy, the AAX series is of a very solid quality.
