General

The Sabian XSR-1809B 18" Rock Crash cymbal offers a rich, bright sound that cuts through any mix. To create it, a sheet of B20 bronze was rolled to a medium weight, after which it went through a similar process as the Sabian Evolution and X-Plosion cymbals. As such, it's hammered and lathed extensively, but it also features a redesigned profile with a larger bell, for instance, which is quite thick so that it creates a powerful 'ping'. In short, the Sabian 18" XSR Rock Crash will cut through any mix, and despite its name it's suitable for much more than just rock music, as long as it's okay with a bit of volume.
