General

Sabian never stops innovating, but they also make sure to hold on to the knowledge they accrue. For the XSR series, they used the same production techniques as they did with the successful X-plosion and Evolution series. These cymbals also feature a redesigned profile, with the reshaped bell being particularly noteworthy. This new shape helps enhance the power of the cymbal as a whole. One of Sabian's best kept secrets is the exact composition of their B20 bronze alloy. This material with its bright sound is pin-point lathed and hammered until it reaches just the right shape and medium-thin weight, giving the cymbal the response a thin model, and the power of a medium one. In short, it's a great cymbal for placing prominent accents in any number of musical styles.
