General

The Sabian XSR-1609B 16" Rock Crash cymbal is made especially for drummers who need plenty of volume. To create it, a sheet of B20 bronze was rolled to a medium weight, after which it was extensively hammered and lathed to give it a rich, bright sound. The technology used to create the XSR series is based on the same processes used for Sabian's X-Plosion and Evolution cymbals. Furthermore, Sabian redesigned the XSR cymbals' profiles for an even richer sound. The 16" Rock Crash will cut through any mix, and despite its name it's suitable for much more than just rock music, as long as it's okay with a bit of volume.
