General
The Sabian AAX Thin Crash 17-inch has a clearer hammer pattern than you are used to from most cymbals in this series. This is due to the use of a larger, rounded striking surface. As a result, the cymbal is thinner and has a grittier, more complex layer that perfectly matches the B20 cymbal bronze used. Yet the cymbal is also bright. It speaks nicely fast thanks to the small, dark bell and it fits well in any cymbal set.
Balanced AAX Thin Crash 17 inch
This cymbal has undergone a special, new treatment: the "Autofocus Respose" treatment. This new technology from the Canadians ensures that all frequencies in this cymbal are perfectly balanced. In addition, it has the advantage of filtering out all unwanted overtones. So you are left with a nice, full crash with only the sound you want. In addition, this balance remains present at both a hard and soft playing force.
