Zildjian loves to collaborate with drummers from all different genres, as it always results in a remarkable cymbal. The input from jazz drummer Adam Nussbaum resulted in the 20-inch K Constantinople Renaissance Ride. The first thing you'll notice is the hammered bell. This allows the bell sound to integrate better with the rest of the cymbal's sound, making it less prominent. Because this ride weighs the same as a crash cymbal (1,786 - 1,871 grams), you can use it both for intricate ride patterns and full-on crashing.

Adam Nussbaum

Adam Nussbaum has played venues all over the world with the likes of Sonny Rollins, Dave Liebman and John Scofield, and he has also taught at a number of different schools. This hands-on experience, combined with Zildjian's four centuries of experience as a manufacturer, could only result in an absolute gem of a cymbal. It's suited for any style of music, but particularly jazz.
