It might take some getting used to, but it's well-worth trying. The LTD B-208FM STBLK (See Thru Black) is an electric bass guitar with no fewer than eight strings. It has four standard-tuned bass strings that are all matched to a string at a higher octave, resulting in a surprisingly rich and broad bass sound. Not only is the sound very distinctive, it also fills the occasional gaps that could fall into the overall sound of smaller bands.

The design

The beautiful, comfortably bevelled body of the LTD B-208FM sports a flamed-maple top and a transparent-black lacquer. Turn this bass guitar over and you can see that its neck is made of five parts: two layers of rosewood and three of maple. This type of neck seriously increases stability and looks exceptionally chic. A very convenient feature is this guitar's active 3-band tone control as it can supply a powerful boost for trebles, mids and bass tones.
