General
There's a place for Fender's Jazz Bass in any bassist's collection, no matter what style of music they play. Especially an attractively-priced model like this Jazz bass from Fender's American Performer series. It has a bolt-on maple neck with a modern C profile and a rosewood fretboard with a 9.5-inch radius that make it comfortable to play. The jumbo frets play their part in this as well. This is a bass that's ready to hit the stage which is why Fender have included a deluxe gig bag for safe and easy transportation.
American Performer Jazz Bass: classic and modern
The alder body may have a classic shape, but that doesn't mean that this model doesn't sport a few modern features too. The paddle-style machine heads may look vintage, for instance, but they're designed to be lightweight. As soon as you plug this bass in, you'll appreciate other modern features that make this Jazz bass more versatile than ever.
Pickups and controls
There are two newly-developed Yosemite single-coil pickups on board. They have flat staggered poles that give them a higher output and a shellac coating that prevents problems with feedback. Two volume controls allow you to find the perfect mix, while the Greasebucket Tone potentiometer gives you greater control over the higher frequencies and keeps the lower bass tones in check too.
