The TRBX 174 by Yamaha is the most affordable model from the TRBX series and features the great quality and playability that Yamaha has been known for for years. The TRBX174 has been given a beautiful Metallic Red finished alder body for a balanced sound with deep basses, rich mids and clear trebles. The comfortable thin maple neck is bolted onto the body and is equipped with a 24-fret rosewood fretboard. With a string nut width of 40 mm, this bass is suited for players young and old, novice or experienced.

Electronics of the TRBX 174 RM

This solid-body bass guitar is equipped with two single-coil pickups. The bridge pickup is a J-style single coil that produces a bright, defined and transparent sound. In the middle you'll find a P-style split-coil, which consists of one single coil per two strings that work together as a humbucker to produce a deeper, fuller sound with more punch. Moreover, it also works to "buck the hum," so to speak, so you won't get any of that 50Hz humming going on. Each pickup has its own volume control which offers you extra control over the entire sound of the instrument. Finally, there is also a master tone control for filtering high frequencies.
