Based on a classic, the P-style Fazley FPB118BK puts a solid yet affordable starter-instrument in the hands of anyone itching to start playing the bass. Just like the American-made original, this four-string bass comes loaded with a passive split-coil pickup and a fuss-free set of tone and volume controls for dialling in some growl and punch. The Fazley FPB118BK comes fitted with a hard maple neck with a modern C-profile; bolted on with four screws and secured with a chrome neck-plate, while the blackwood fretboard has been loaded with 20 medium-jumbo frets. The body has been finished with a high-gloss lacquer, completing a comfortable model that boasts the kind of snug playability that's perfect for beginners, and just as perfect as a back-up for gigging bassists.

Ik heb deze gitaar gekocht om basgitaar te leren spelen. Ik heb een leraar die mij elke week bij mij thuis leert spelen. Hij heeft de gitaar ook natuurlijk gespeeld en ook hij is er erg blij mee. Ik ga na deze gitaar natuurlijk een duurdere exemplaar kopen bij Bax. Al met al een super gitaar om te leren en ook om mee te performen.

Op zich een prima basgitaar om mee te beginnen voor deze prijs. Mijn eerste ervaring was zelf niet al te best aangezien bij het uitpakken van de gitaar de pickups (2) los in de klankkast hingen. Deze waren niet of nauwelijks vastgelijmd aan de zwarte plastic behuizingen. Dit kon ik relatief zelf snel oplossen, maar de eerste indruk is dan natuurlijk al enigzins negatief.

Je krijgt wat waarvoor je betaald, dus een prima gitaar om uit te vinden of je het leuk vind maar na 2 jaar hielt het stemmechanisme er redelijk mee op (omlaag en dan terug omhoog stemmen is onmogelijk) en uiteindelijk stierf te gitaar volledig, beginnend met storing en kabel die niet meer goed aansloot tot ik hem aandraaide en die alleen nog maar storing gaf.
Dus heb je het krap en zoek je een tijdelijke gitaar, ga er zeker voor! Maar wil je iets meer toekomstgericht zou ik zeker een ander merk aanraden.
