General

This 5-string Precision Bass V is from Fender's American Pro series that replaces the American Standard series. It features a number of improvements including a '63 C neck profile that is extremely comfortable to play and ensures the low B string is easy to reach. No matter what genre of music you play, this bass can handle it all. It even comes with its own Elite Molded Hardshell case.

American Pro Precision Bass V: pickups

This Precision Bass has a solid body made of alder and is equipped with a new V-Mod Split Single-Coil pickup that was developed by Michael Bump. It uses different types of Alnico magnets that deliver the unmistakable balanced Fender sound with plenty of power. The High Mass Vintage bridge adds excellent tuning stability and sustain.

Finish, sustain and stability

The back of the neck has a satin-gloss urethane finish that feels extremely smooth and fast. Even when your hands get sweaty during performances, they won't stick. The redesigned machines heads have fluted shafts that keep the string windings tight to increase the sustain and enhance the tuning stability further. Lastly, the narrow, tall frets add improved intonation to the overall experience.
