If you play rock, blues or alternative music, then you know that the Fender Mustang Bass PJ is a modern classic. This Pau Ferro version features a C-profile neck with a comfortable to reach, 30-inch scale length, a 9.5-inch fretboard radius and satin-gloss finish. Because it has a slightly shorter neck, the notes are closer together and the string tension is lower. All this makes for a lightweight bass that you don't need super-long arms and massive hands to get to grips with.
Mustang Bass PJ PF: Familiar and Versatile
This Fender bass has a pau ferro fretboard, which is a little darker than rosewood and provides a sharper tone as well. The body is made with ash and lends to the full, powerful acoustic tone of this bass. Due to the PJ pickup configuration, its also has all the versatility you want. The sound from the mid-position Precision pickup and bridge-position Jazz Bass pickup can be adjusted and combined using the 3-way pickup switch. There is one tone and one volume control for both pickups, which makes fine-tuning the Mustang Bass PJ PF a breeze.
