G&L Tribute L-2000 Tobacco Sunburst: construction

Swamp Ash, harvested from the mud in the south of the United States, is used to make the body of this L-2000. This type of wood has less open pores and ensures deep bass tones and fresh trebles with a slightly less explicit mid range. The bolt-on maple neck supports a comfortable maple fretboard with 21 frets. This guitar's headstock has the same beautiful Sunburst-style finish as its body. The bridge is a Saddle Lock type that optimally transfers the vibration of the strings to the body thanks to a small screw on its side that presses the saddles together, creating better sustain and resonance.

The Tribute L-2000 offers you numerous possibilities to create your own sound. Its Tri-tone circuit consists of three potentiometers and three mini-switches. There's a volume control and two knobs to filter or boost bass and treble. The switches of this guitar are a three-position pickup switch, a two-way switch for series or parallel switching and a three-way switch that allows you to choose between a passive, active and active with treble boost modes.
