The top of this bass lies on a mahogany body, which adds warmth to the sound of this 4-string SR800-BIF. The 5-piece jatoba and bubinga neck has a sturdy construction, but is thin enough to play very comfortably and deliver a surprisingly long sustain.

The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band equalizer is good for a broad range of sounds. Incidentally, the mid-switch can also be used as a booster. Emphasis on the low or high tones is ideal in live situations, as some types of music require this.
