General
Ibanez's Sound Gear Premium series consists of bass guitars that have been constructed with the best and the most luxurious materials and that have an exceptionally beautiful finish. The SR1805-NTF is a five-string bass guitar with a body made of walnut and mahogany. The top of the body is made of rosewood and flamed maple, which gives this bass guitar that luxurious look. You can tell that the people at Ibanez take a guitar's finish very seriously as all of the fret endings have been rounded for a comfortable feel.
Nordstrand
This Ibanez SR1805-NTF is equipped with large Nordstrand single-coil pickups. These pickups have that typical single-coil clarity but also deliver a full, powerful sound with an aggressive undertone. This aggressive character can be perfectly restrained by means of the EQBIIISC 3-band tone control and the preamps that have been designed specifically for the Nordstrand pickups. The tone control has a mid switch that allows you to choose between a frequency of 250 Hz or 600 Hz. Because this is the heart of the mid-frequency range, you have a large amount of options to create the sound you want.
Atlas-4 neck
The neck of this SR1805-NTF is also made of the best wood types with great sound characteristics and stability. This strong neck is made of three parts wenge and two parts bubinga wood and is connected to the body by means of a four-point system. Wenge provides clear mids and a quick response while bubinga contributes to clear mids as well but also produces a fat and well-defined low. This, in combination with the wood types of the body, guarantees a bass guitar with a modern, tight sound that has a firm low and bright mids.

Wrote the following about Ibanez SR1805-NTF Premium 5-string electric bass guitar
De 3 band EQ met mogelijkheid om de middenfrequentie met de schakelaar te schakelen tussen 250 en 600 Hz werkt als een trein. Ook in passieve mode klinkt deze bas geweldig.
De tas die wordt meegeleverd is een andere (veel mooiere) dan op de foto te zien is. Ook wordt een uitgebreide guitar tool meegeleverd.
Ik moet nog even op zoek naar de batterij, want in tegenstelling tot andere SR bassen is er geen separaat batterijcompartiment, dus vermoedelijk zit de batterij onder de beschermplaat bij de potmeters...
